Scores & Interpretations

10 standardized measures were administered to 32 individual LAITR clients before and after 3+ months of participation in the program. All 10 measures showed at least slight improvement since beginning occupational therapy.

Moderate improvements were seen in emotional and behavioral control, perceived stress & trauma recovery.

Significant improvements were seen in quality of life.

We also administer the ACEs with each individual client. Our sample has an average ACE score of >4 which is significantly higher than the general population indicating increased childhood trauma for this population and need for trauma informed care (TIC). LAITR OTs are Certified Trauma Professionals and use a TIC lens in every session.
